The New FightLite® AMG-3™ (Assault Machine Gun) is a lightweight, air cooled, gas-piston/pusher-rod operated, Dual-Feed®, Automatic Weapon that operates reliably with both M16 rifle magazines and M27 linked ammunition common to the M249 SAW. It functions in both semi-automatic and full-automatic modes of fire permitting the user to selectively engage the enemy with precision or suppressive fires as needed. The gas-piston operation directs most of the propellant gases and fouling forward and out of the muzzle allowing the AMG-3™ to remain less fouled in adverse conditions and during extended periods of use.

Unlike typical belt-fed platforms, our newest member of the AMG family features a unique left-to-right side opening feed cover. This addition is not only more robust, but also allows for a full length, co-planar 1913 picatinny top rail. This immense amount of unrivaled real estate is ideal for the addition of lights, lasers, optics, magnifiers, and thermal or NVG units in any combination, without the placement limitations of a typical top opening feed cover. The AMG-3™, like all FightLite® Belt-Feds, retains a True Quick-Change barrel that can be swapped by the user without tools in as little as 3 seconds. AMG-3™ barrels are available in 12.5”, 16.25” and 20” inch lengths for both heat mitigation and maximum mission flexibility - from suppressed CQB to wide open terrain.

The AMG-3™ boasts a 50% weight reduction over the M249 SAW allowing users to be faster, less fatigued and more agile during aggressive and highly dynamic combat operations. The compact, lightweight and reliable FightLite® MXR® leads the submachine gun arena with an accurate and ruggedized weapon that streamlines user and agency logistics for improved mission capability. Patented features and smart product design reduce operator burden by providing complete ammunition and magazine interchangeability between the user’s primary sidearm and their pistol caliber MXR® carbine.

The patented MXR® is primarily chambered in 9 x 19mm NATO and is caliber convertible at the user level without tools to accommodate 7 different calibers including .22LR for cost effective training, 5.7 x 28mm for high velocity trajectory with armor piercing capability at short to medium ranges, and 10 x 25mm Auto for hard-hitting terminal performance. The MXR® ambidextrous reciprocating charging handle and ambidextrous controls with 3-position pictogram selector markings provide the advantages of ergonomic user interface and integral bolt forward assist, with the ability to quietly chamber and confirm loaded round.
